Flexible Libraries: Opportunities and Strategies for Engagement
Leonie Pope

Leonie Pope is Manager, Library and Student Support at Box Hill Institute of TAFE in Victoria. Leonie leads a team of library staff committed to supporting teachers in the development and implementation of flexible learning. In 2004 she aims to extend this support to students by providing increased access to support services online.

Leonie explores the importance of the role of libraries in the flexible learning environment and encourages librarians to participate fully and exploit the potential for the complete integration of library services with the teaching and learning process. As providers, organisers and repositories of information, libraries are properly considered fundamental to effective flexible learning strategies within their organisations.
