The authors report on a project conducted in Tasmania, Australia, in 2004-2005 which examined e-learning adoption from the perspective of registered training organisations (RTOs) and enterprises in five industry sectors. The article presents some interesting findings on the integration of, and readiness for, e-learning suggesting that the coalescence of e-learning and e-business creates both opportunities and challenges. A ‘must-read’ for industry trainers, business staff developers, and e-learning providers.
